Rutgers University’s Commitment to Net Zero Decarbonization & Becoming a Catalyst for Neighboring Communities

Rutgers University has made the commitment to achieve carbon neutrality on its entire multi-campus system. While significant progress has been made, there are gaps that need to be addressed to achieve the program goals and to become a catalyst to its host communities and beyond. This presentation will explore the University’s baseline assessment, decarbonization goals, gap analysis, and next steps. It will also look at key collaborator roles and educational implications, and how the Rutgers’ experience can be replicated to other campuses and neighboring communities.
