In today’s fast-paced and ever-evolving professional landscape, continuous learning and development are crucial for individual and organizational success. This session will provide attendees with practical tips and strategies to effectively advocate for professional development funding. By the end of this session, participants will be equipped with actionable insights, including creating a leadership persona and crafting unique messaging, addressing potential challenges and providing resolutions, and making the jump to send the email asking for organizational support.
Speaker Bio
Mel Rowan is a senior marketing specialist with a focus on the energy industry with over seven years of experience. She helps coordinate and launch energy efficiency and beneficial electrification marketing activities for National Accounts across the United States, with an additional focus on utilities in the Southeast region. She manages projects from inception to completion while collaborating with clients, editors, designers and production managers. She also contributes innovative ideas to promote energy programs to commercial customers and contractors and monitor tracking and reporting on campaign metrics, to ensure a positive influence on driving awareness, engagement, and participation in energy efficiency and beneficial electrification utility programs.
Mel has BS in Strategic Communications and minor in Business Administration from West Virginia University. Mel is a certified Energy Efficiency Practitioner (EEP) and Certified ANA Marketing Professional (CAMP).
