Integrating Decarbonization into Strategic Energy Management for Enhanced Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility
Strategic Energy Management (SEM) is essential for optimizing energy use in commercial buildings, emphasizing efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. At Adtran, SEM is the foundation of our decarbonization strategy, supporting carbon reduction and aligning with global energy initiatives and ESG goals.
Adtran’s SEM program uses a data-driven, systematic approach to drive energy efficiency and emissions reductions across global operations. Core elements include energy planning, audits, technology integration, employee engagement, data monitoring, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Key achievements include DOE 50001 Ready certification, alignment with Science Based Targets (SBTi), and a roadmap to reduce Scope 1–3 emissions. Initiatives like hybrid ASHRAE audits and advanced energy-saving measures reflect our commitment. Attendees will learn how SEM enhances performance, reduces carbon intensity, and meets ESG standards—demonstrated by a 53% energy reduction and international recognition.
