Speaker Bio
Dave is currently employed by RTX as a principal energy engineer. He is a member of the Facilities Energy & Sustainability Team responsible for energy and water management of the RTX businesses (Raytheon, Pratt & Whitney and Collins Aerospace) which includes almost 80 million square feet of office, laboratory, warehouse and manufacturing facilities. He also participates on the RTX company-wide energy and water team and has managed Raytheon’s ENERGY STAR partnership since 2000.
Dave has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of New Hampshire
(1984) and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University (1989). He
is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Massachusetts, and a Certified
Energy Manager (CEM) with the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). Prior to 1997 when he joined Raytheon, Dave previously worked as a mechanical engineer for Raytheon Company in Sudbury, MA, from 1985-1991, then as a general engineer for the U.S. Department of Energy in Boston, MA, from 1991-1997.
Dave was recognized as the 2014 Energy Engineer of the Year by the New England Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers and received an Environmental Merit Award from EPA New England in 2016. He decided to pursue an energy career while taking a 1980 UNH course entitled, “Man and His Environment” and actively encourages others to consider careers in the energy and sustainability fields.
