Federal Funding Leveraged with Performance Contracting
The Department of Energy’s Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) builds the capacity of the Federal agency workforce to achieve efficient, secure, and resilient energy use in facilities and fleets—saving taxpayers money. Oak Ridge National Laboratory supports DOE FEMP’s program offerings to implement Performance Contracts that save cost, improve resilience, and reduce energy use. This session will cover current DOE priorities, basics of performance contract, financing, and project examples. At the end of this session, you will understand the basics of how to get started with a performance contract, key contacts for agencies and industry, and understand technical tools and resources available to analyze potential projects.
