Speaker Bio
Barry is a Principal at Servidyne, located in Atlanta, GA. He has provided energy and sustainability consulting services for over 40 years. His current focus is developing decarbonization strategies and enhancing occupant health and wellbeing in existing commercial building portfolios. He serves on the USGBC’s LEED Steering Committee, is Vice-Chair of the LEED Existing Buildings Consensus Committee and former Chair of the LEED Energy and Atmosphere Technical Advisory Group. He is a member of ASHRAE TC7.6, Building Energy Performance and ASHRAE SSPC 211, Standard for Commercial Building Energy Audits. He was Principal Investigator for an ASHRAE research project on HVAC equipment service life, cited as a primary source throughout the real estate industry.
Barry graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi with a degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer, LEED AP O+M, and ASHRAE Building Energy Assessment Professional.
