Focusing on energy conservation and carbon reduction as an integral aspect of the energy audit will enable paths to optimize decarbonization project economics and implementation timelines. This requires a holistic view to try and identify electrification, energy reduction, and time of use considerations to provide the greatest benefit. By incorporating decarbonization planning into energy audits, leaders will have a direct line of site on how their investments in energy conservation impact larger sustainability goals.
