Abstract:

What time is it? Tool Time. This updated presentation provides an overview of recommended energy audit tools used in facility and plant audits, with live demonstrations, hands-on experience of select tools. Attendees will gain practical insights into how these tools are applied in real-world settings. Identifying and measuring various types of building energy usage is important for evaluating efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization. Energy audit tools enable auditors to collect and analyze data.

Become familiar with the ‘ABCs’ of essential inspection tools; including anemometers, thermal imaging cameras, and digital multimeters; facilities can systematically assess energy usage patterns and uncover opportunities for improvements. Energy auditing is clearly the best practice across residential, commercial, and industrial settings, helping organizations make informed decisions. Keeping up with or leveraging new auditing technologies and data-driven methods improves audits by identifying inefficiencies and guiding targeted improvements.
