Speaker Bio

Scott P. Sukits, PE, MHA, LEED AP, is a facilities and engineering executive with more than 24 years of experience leading complex infrastructure, energy management, capital construction, and mission-critical facility operations across healthcare, research, laboratory, higher education, and commercial environments. He serves as Regional Director of Facilities and Engineering for AdventHealth, providing strategic leadership for facility operations, infrastructure reliability, regulatory compliance, and capital investment programs across multiple healthcare campuses in Central Florida.

Part of his regional leadership responsibilities, Scott provides strategic oversight for Control Systems and Energy Management across AdventHealth's Central Florida Division. He leads initiatives focused on energy optimization, building automation, utility management, sustainability, and operational resilience supporting numerous hospitals and emergency departments. His work has contributed to multiple ENERGY STAR certifications through the implementation of advanced HVAC control strategies, energy reduction programs, and data-driven operational improvements. Scott also serves as Chair of the AdventHealth Central Florida Division Water Management Committee and Utility Management Committee, advancing enterprise-wide initiatives focused on reliability, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.

Throughout his career, Scott has successfully planned, designed, constructed, commissioned, and operated facilities ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars in value. Prior to joining AdventHealth, he held leadership positions with SGM Engineering and Stantec, where he directed multidisciplinary engineering teams and led the design of highly complex healthcare, research, and academic facilities for organizations including Yale University, Cornell University, UConn Health, UCLA, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

A licensed Professional Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional, Scott holds a Master of Healthcare Administration with a specialization in Finance from Colorado State University Global and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Grove City College. He is passionate about leveraging technology, analytics, and innovative engineering strategies to improve energy performance, infrastructure resilience, and operational excellence in complex facilities.
