September 18, 2025 | 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
AI and Digital Tools for Energy Optimization in Industrial Processes
As industrial sectors pursue aggressive decarbonization goals, AI and digital tools are emerging as critical enablers of energy optimization. This session will explore how advanced analytics, machine learning, and real-time data platforms can uncover hidden inefficiencies, optimize system performance, and support predictive maintenance in complex industrial environments. Drawing on project experience from WSP’s Built Ecology practice, we’ll examine how digital twins, automated fault detection, and AI-driven control strategies are being deployed to reduce energy use and emissions—without compromising operational resilience. The presentation will also address implementation challenges such as data integration, workforce readiness, and cybersecurity, offering practical guidance for engineers and energy managers. Attendees will leave with actionable insights into how digital innovation can accelerate industrial decarbonization and align with future-ready infrastructure planning
