Ricson Chude is an Engineering Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE), where he leads a team responsible for the safety, reliability, and accuracy of electric smart meters, communication routers, and customer-facing energy management devices connected to SCE’s Advanced Metering Infrastructure.

In previous roles, Ricson collaborated with U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratories, Clean Tech Incubators, and research universities to evaluate emerging technologies, including smart grid systems and clean energy solutions. At SCE, he has managed performance-based retrofit programs for local governments, supported strategies advancing California’s building decarbonization goals, and evaluated Commercial and Industrial energy efficiency projects.

As a dedicated advocate for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), he leads STEM-USA, a grassroots initiative that partners with community colleges and universities to help students build strong career foundations, thrive in a competitive job market, and develop leadership skills to drive positive change in their communities.

In addition to his work in energy efficiency and STEM, Ricson co-founded FUTURETECH, a forum that fosters collaboration between industry, academia, and investors. FUTURETECH events explore emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and robotics, with the goal of catalyzing innovation, collaboration, and investment.

Ricson has held several leadership positions in prominent professional organizations. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) and has previously held the positions of President of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Southern California Chapter, President of the Association of Energy Engineers Southern California Chapter, and President of Engineers Without Borders USA West Coast Region.

Ricson Chude is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of California. He holds an M.S. in Engineering Management from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles. In 2018, he was honored with the Golden Eagle Award for Distinguished Alumni by CSU Los Angeles.
