Energy Management is Part of Risk Management and Key to Decarbonization.
Catalent's comprehensive environmental strategy includes goals for decarbonization, minimizing water use and limiting waste and reducing APIs in wastewater. Recent changes in global energy markets has impacted Catalent sites and refocused efforts to minimize energy consumption in the short term, while developing the strategy for the longer term.
Catalent has signed on to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and submitted targets for validation in 2023. Catalent has near-term reduction targets for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Catalent is currently developing its plan to meet these decarbonization goals for the next 5-10 years.
