LEDs Already Save Energy...Controls Save Even More
The introduction of LED lighting brought on substantial reductions in the amount of energy used for illumination. Despite the reduction in energy, LED lighting and the associated controls are oftentimes not optimized for energy savings. This presentation will explore lighting control strategies that can reduce operational and maintenance costs associated with lighting.
Maxwell Keith has worked for Lutron since 2016, and he manages the commercial business for the Southeast United States. In 2020, following the adoption of IECC 2015 in Georgia, he oversaw dozens of code updates to specifiers throughout the state. His experience includes substantial work with daylighting, daylight harvesting, and incorporating natural light into designs. Prior to joining Lutron, Maxwell served 14 years on active duty in the U.S. Navy, and he currently serves as a member of the Navy Reserve.
