Fundamentals of Measurement and Verification

Measurement and Verification (M&V) is a process in which data is used to measure, verify, and report energy savings after the implementation of energy conservation measures. The M&V process is critical and essential for ESCOs, energy clients, sustainability firms, and global sustainability efforts. The objective of this presentation is to provide the viewer with an understanding on the importance of M&V, the fundamentals of M&V, and the utilization of four M&V options.

Leon Murray is an Energy Engineer for 2KB energy services. Before joining 2KB, he Graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Starting as a research assistant for UCF, he tested flow batteries to collect and study data on their feasibility for energy savings. Currently at 2KB Leon’s responsibilities include reporting, M&V, site investigations, and utility bill analysis.
