Turning Energy Use Data into Carbon/GhG Performance Tracking- The Role of Data in Achieving ESG Goals
Corporate and government interest for sustainability and “ESG” related policies (Environmental Social and Governance) is growing across all segments of the buildings industry. ESG metrics are increasingly seen by shareholders as an indicator of a company’s future success and are now a core component of most annual reports by public companies. Key elements of the “E” portion include energy efficiency initiatives, and Greenhouse Gas Emission tracking and reporting. Effective utilization of data is a core requirement in measuring performance and meeting ESG goals.
Significant value can be generated from through the conversion of energy use data to GhG equivalents. This presentation will show how organizations can get started in their data journey to meet ESG goals, generate financial value and meet corporate and societal goals for carbon reduction, tracking and reporting.
