Understanding the True Cost of Compressed Air - It's More Than You Think!

Often the most expensive, least understood, and most neglected utility, the total cost of compressed air extends far past the utility bill. Join us to discuss the full impact of compressed air on a factory's bottom line, including on energy, water, and production efficiency. We will explore the impact of the uncontrolled or minimally controlled systems, poor maintenance, and the lack of user education, and we will demonstrate proven methodologies to increase the efficiency and decrease the headache associated with industrial compressed air systems.

Jeffry Kahn is President and Director of Engineering at CAM Technologies, a small business focused on improving the operational efficiency of industrial compressed air systems through automated, PLC-based controls, novel, creative system architectures, and continuous real-time monitoring. He holds a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland. Jeff is passionate about energy conservation. During his 10+ years at CAM, he has led teams installing over 550 CAMLink™ Automation Systems resulting in an approximate reduction in energy consumption of over 400,000 MWH annually.
