Energy Innovation in Cold Storage: First-ever Deployment of Linear Generators and Onsite Solar
In December 2021, Lineage Logistics’ Colton-Agua Mansa facility became the company’s first facility to produce 100% of its energy consumption on-site. This was achieved by installing 3.3MW of onsite rooftop solar and 460kW of novel linear generators developed by Mainspring Energy. This project represents the first ever occasion of combining two Mainspring generators and solar energy at a single site.
The successful deployment at Colton is the first step in a portfolio-wide clean energy generation drive in line with Lineage's commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040. Onsite solar and linear generators allow the Colton facility to be energy-independent and support the local grid when required. In this presentation, Jash Vora will share project details and discuss Lineage's industry-leading energy vision.
