Three Thermal Energy Storage Case Studies
Owners of chilled water district cooling systems may wonder about the possible financial benefits of a Thermal Energy Storage (TES) system, and may be concerned that a TES tank is too difficult to install at their campus. This presentation will provide an overview of those financial benefits, and challenges that the owner may face during the implementation of the TES system.
Attendees will review three Case Studies of TES tank projects, each with their own unique challenges. The attendees will learn about the design and construction considerations for these projects, and how the challenges were overcome so that the owners were able to realize the financial benefits. In addition, a short summary of the financial benefits for each of those three Case Studies will be presented.
