
Energy One and AATC at the World’s Busiest Airport - 3 Concourses Off the Grid
•Energy One partnered with Atlanta Airlines Terminal Company (AATC) to reduce energy usage at the world’s busiest, the equivalent of taking C, D, and F concourses off the grid.
•Presentation will highlight key initiatives including 130,000 lighting upgrades, central plant optimization of 23,000 tons of chillers, programming 300 air handlers, and retro commissioning 3,000 terminal units across 7.5 million sq ft.
•We will also discuss the intelligent airport initiative, utilizing artificial intelligence, machine learning, advanced data analytics, and fault detection diagnostics to further improvement comfort and efficiency of the airport.
Speaker Bio
-Provides leadership and direction regarding facility operations to AATC at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
-Retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant.
-Bachelors in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University and an MBA in Human Resources Training and Development from Kennesaw State University.
-Previous roles include Assistant Account Manager HJAIA; the Assistant Director at Georgia State University, and time with facility consulting firms providing condition assessments, capital planning, and developing new operational processes.
-Established Turner Facilities Management Solutions and created an industry innovative software documents turn-over tool called eDocs. Other roles include the Senior Vice President for Facilities at Paramount Pictures; Director of Facilities Sustainment with Home Depot's Supply Chain, and Director of Operations supporting aircraft manufacturing, mobile FM groups, several campuses, and team's supporting HJAIA and Delta's corporate campus and Technical Operations Center.
-13-year Adjunct Professor at Georgia Tech. Developing and teaching two core classes within their Integrated Facilities Management graduate program, "Professor Merrow" has influenced the direction of facility operations with students from varied industries and countries.
