Utilization of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) Technology in Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Applications
This presentation will cover the fundamentals of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) based heat to power generation, explain how an ORC system can be utilized for combined heat and power (CHP) applications, as well as discuss the advantages of using an ORC system such as enhanced energy efficiency and carbon savings. ORC systems can also be installed to utilize lower temperature heat sources across a wide range of industries. Case studies of ORC installations for various CHP applications will also be discussed.

Fariha Amin is the Technical Sales Manager ORC at ElectraTherm by BITZER Group where she is engaged in global business development and the technical analysis and consultation for heat recovery projects utilizing ORC technology. She has a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno and a M.Sc. from the University of Stuttgart, Germany with an emphasis in environmental process engineering applications. Fariha is committed to the integration of sustainable and clean energy sources that help protect the environment in our everyday lives.
