Building Carbon Capture System
CarbonQuest has developed a Building Carbon Capture system that extracts Carbon Dioxide from the flue gas from boiler and Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems exhaust gas. Buildings are responsible for 70% of the GHG emissions in New York City. CarbonQuest is focused on helping building owners decarbonize in preparations for stiff penalties for buildings that exceed their allowed limit under Local Law 97, which goes into effect in 2024. This pioneering project will be described in a system and operations overview.
