Speaker Bio
Mr. Darren Xu graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and received his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He has 25 years of career experience in the field of building commissioning and energy management such as NBCx, EBCx and MBCx, energy efficiency, energy and water master planning, O&M optimization, and M&V (Measurement and Verification), etc. He has contributed as the lead author or a co-author to many journal and conference papers.
Mr. Xu has presented AEE energy management related certification courses in U.S., Canada, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, France and Germany. Mr. Xu led in numerous large scale building commissioning and energy management programs, including the comprehensive energy management program at Texas A&M University with more than $90 million of accumulated energy savings, and the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport RCx project, which saved more than $12 million and won the AEE's National Award in 2010. Mr. Xu is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E), and an authentic AEE instructor on CBCP®, CEA®, and CEM®.
