Customer Centered Utility Pricing in a Modern World
Regulated utility generation prices should adopt techniques and practices routinely used in the deregulated energy markets to shape prices that help “Customers” meet their tastes and needs. Such prices, individual to the “Customer” to reflect their desires, can be accomplished in a non-discriminatory manner and will require fundamental changes to the utility ratemaking process. Such changes and pricing will significantly improve regulated utility customer service.
Speaker Bio
Denis George provides energy contract advisory service to end use consumers. Denis has over 40 years of utility experience. In the 1980's and 1990's Denis held a number of legal and management positions at The Dayton Power and Light Company. In the 21st Century, Denis served as the Corporate Energy Manager at The Kroger Co. where, under his leadership. Kroger earned national recognition for its energy management and expense reduction efforts. Denis currently serves as the President of the Energy Coalition of Ohio, a group focused on promoting conversation and further energy business development and use in the State of Ohio.
