Abstract:
Businesses are increasingly looking at distributed energy resources to meet clean energy goals and improve resiliency. In recent years, Duke Energy has introduced several new and modernized rate options in the Carolinas aimed, in part, at maximizing the grid benefits of customer-owned distributed energy resources and returning that value to customers. This session will describe Duke Energy’s redesigned Hourly Pricing rate and the opportunities it presents for electric vehicle charging, solar generation, and demand response.
